Description

Construction years: 1870-
Physical description: Crossings by rail over Solitary Creek between Rydal and Sodwalls, particularly those known as Nos 1 - 6, either in use and extended for double line or abandoned on deviation in 1906.

Good. Some still in use.

History

Historical notes: Part of the Great Western Railway over the Mountains from Sydney.

Integrity/Intactness: Good.

Recommended management:

As with any group listing what is important in heritage terms are the elements that the buildings have in common. These will usually include the scale of the building, the envelop shape, the materials, colours, and the front elevation detailing. Archaeological recommendations: A Notify the Planners about any process that will substantially alter the landscape, e.g. dam, road widening, altered agricultural practices, quarrying….or is potentially a threat to the archaeological site. B Seek advice if any of the above threats are likely to occur in the vicinity of the item, and have the threat assessed. If a study is necessary it should be along Conservation Plan guidelines. C Seek advice if any of the above threats are likely to occur in the vicinity of the item, and have the threat assessed D Encourage active recording of information for cemeteries and isolated graves.
