Representative of the importance of cinemas and theatres, social life and entertainment during the mid 20th century. Located on an important corner site. Interiors of interest.

Physical description: Substantial two storey building with ornate rendered facade including banding, panelling and porthole windows

History

Historical notes: Early picture theatre with entertainment by Wilbur Kentwell and his "toe tapping" organ music before and during film intervals. In 1969 the theatre re-opened as a ski shop. In 1985 it reopened as a community centre.
