Statement of significance:

The prominent two storey bank building, combining elements of the Inter-War Functionalist style, such as a curved corner and projecting window hoods, and the Inter-War Art Deco style, is located in the centre of the commercial strip and the decorative elements and portico of the main entry dominate the streetscape. Metal and timber framed windows and the general materials and finishes have been retained, with only minor intrusive recent signage detracting from the integrity.
