Environmental reports

The State of the Environment report (prepared by the EPA) is a general environmental report card for NSW, while the State of the Parks report focuses on the management of national park lands and provides a snapshot of their condition and management in a publicly accessible way.

The State of the Beaches report is a scorecard of recreational water quality measured at estuarine sites in Sydney and along the coast from the Illawarra to the Hunter.

State of the Catchments reports provide information about natural resources and their management in each of 13 regions of NSW. The monitoring, evaluation and reporting of these resources is guided by the NSW Natural Resources Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Strategy 2010-2015 which also provides information for the State of the Environment report.
