Energy Efficiency Action Plan
The Energy Efficiency Action Plan (EEAP) (PDF 1.1MB), launched in response to Goal 5 of NSW 2021 and consists of 30 actions to strengthen the energy efficiency market and help NSW households, business and government to use energy more efficiently.
With the overall goal of tackling the costs of living in New South Wales, the EEAP aims to reach the following targets:
- achieve 16,000 GWh in energy savings per year by 2020
- support 220,000 low income households to reduce energy use by up to 20 per cent by 2014
- assist 50 per cent of NSW commercial floor space achieve a four-star NABERS energy and water rating by 2020, through the delivery of high-standard building retrofit programs.
